The Solution: A Shopify App for Volume Calculation and Automated Box Assignment
To solve the problem, we developed a special Shopify app that calculates the volume of each product and automatically determines how many boxes are needed. An intelligent system was implemented to ensure that each product is correctly placed within the available space of the shipping boxes. If the volume of a box is exceeded, a new box is automatically created to calculate shipping costs accurately and efficiently.
The app allowed for a dynamic calculation of shipping costs based on the size and number of boxes, leading to transparent and traceable pricing. An additional feature of the app was the implementation of free shipping above a certain purchase value: "Free shipping from X Euros."
